After spending some time exercising and practicing your remote viewing techniques, you'll find that it's suddenly quicker to reach the level of deep relaxation you need to repeat it again and again. You will still be wide awake at all times, but you've allowed yourself to relax so deeply that you're able to access your sub-conscious mind.
